Ashington CFC is a well established football club which was formed in 1888.

The club is based at Woodhorn Lane, Ashington.

 On July 1st 2009 the club formed a Ladies Section in order to develop Girl’s & Ladies football within the community. We are a standalone section within the club and all funding is arranged by ourselves.

The 2009-2010 season saw us enter three girls teams at U10, U12 & U15 as well as a senior side into the Northumberland Girl’s & Women’s Football League, approximately sixty girls representing our club each weekend.

 Our first season has been a steep learning curve & we are very proud of our achievements both on & off the field. An awful lot of hard work has been put into the running of the section by a small band of volunteers.

The 2010-2011 season has begun and we now have Under 10, 12, 13 and Ladies Team. The season has began brightly with all teams competing well in all competitions and The ladies team featuring in the FA Cup for the first time this season.
