About Us

Gartcairn Football Academy was formed 2007 with the ethos of ensuring children had fun while playing the beautiful game. We do not do trials at non competitive football level. Instead we take children on a first come first serve basis until our numbers are full. We are an SFA Quality Mark Club (the only one in Monklands for ALL TEAMS). We currently have various teams for both boys & girls aged from 1992 through to 2004.

Whats happening?

RAVENSCRAIG WEEKEND FESTIVAL / TOURNAMENT

Gartcairn have secured the new Ravenscraig facility on the 19th & 20th of February 2011. This shall be an annual event playing developmental fours, soccer sevens and competitive competition on the second day with our under 13 and under 17 age groups. The weekend is sponsored by Morton's Rolls and we would like to extend our thanks to them for backing us to run what will be a fabulous weekend.

NEW 2005 age group intake begins Thursday 23rd September

Training shall begin at St Margarets Astro Turf on a Thursday night from 6pm until 7pm for any child who has just started primary school. This is a nursery group within the Academy and is led by Rosemary who is a level 2 SFA qualified coach. If you wish your child to attend just come along on the night.

MCDONALDS PROGRAMME STARTS Thursday 23rd September

In conjunction with NLC Gartcairn begin the McDonalds programme on Wednesday 22nd of September. This shall be at Airdrie Sports centre from 5pm until 6pm and offers every primary school child in Airdrie the chance to have fun playing football. It is hoped that several new teams shall be created from this event and also plenty volunteers will be recruited from it also. For more information download the flyer here.

GIRLS TEAMS

As of Monday 20th September Gartcairn are looking for girls at ALL age groups < under 13s to attend female only teams. If you are interested please come along to Airdrie Academy Astro Turf at 18:00 or contact Robert McCallum on 07818002241 for more details.
